it’s still red, i still have tape marks on my boobs, but it’s only a little sore this morning. tattooing directly over the sternum HURTS. the collarbones do a little bit, too.

oh, and as far as what it means to me: it’s hard to explain, but it’s one of those phrases that’s stuck in my head since i read it. it’s one of the most passionate statements ever written. it’s very female. and if you know me, you know i’m not the least bit tentative about anything. i tend to know right away what i want and how i feel, and i’ll jump without thinking twice. it kind of sums that up for me.

Voice Over Training Guide For Voice Artists

A voice actor actually works harder than a Hollywood superstar. It’s real challenging for him to show feelings and emotions while reading, fully knowing that he will not be seen on the screen. The voice actor must be able to empathize with the persona that he portrays and make sure that he breathes life into the script. It is in this area where voice over training is essential.

Voice over artists are able to learn the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by undergoing voice over training. There are 1000s of cartoon and animated TV shows, web shows, TV/radio advertisements, web videos, and movies being made regularly. Moreover, each movie/TV show has a cast of more than 20-30 characters. There are global opportunities galore for a voice actor.

Basic skills needed to join a voice over training course

One of the most important tools of the trade is diction. Perfect enunciation is demanded from the student, hence, it is necessary for him to go to speech classes to master his diction. A voice talent would always have two roles to perform – the “acting,” and the “lending voice.” So, perfect diction is not enough to begin voice over training – the student must also enroll in an acting course before joining the voice over course.

What does a voiceover training program teach?

The student learns how to evaluate and interpret commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles. He also learns how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. The course educates the student how to efficiently coordinate mind, mouth and voice so that he can sound true to his character. Taking direction is also learned by the student.

Reading, recording, play back, and listening are done over and over again in an excellent voice talent training course. This is done in order for students to get it right. Students warm-up and perform vocal exercises and learn strategies like timing, inflection, and articulation. They figure out how to maintain their vocal fitness. Half-way into the voice over training course, students become adept at using and modifying tone, pitch, delivery speed and volume for a selection of jobs.

Once a student completes the training, he learns how to market his skills, tap proper contacts, and land voice over work. The course instructors also help them create a voice over demo for their portfolio. A solid voice over training program provides students the opportunity to work in a real studio and understand what they must and shouldn’t do in a sound booth and when behind the microphone.

Choosing a voice over training program

There are two aspects to voice training. A commercial voice over course must be opted for by students who are interested in selling. Commercial voice talents are employed for selling. TV advertisements, radio ads, phone and other media feature these voice overs. Selling skills are also covered by a voice over course considering that all commercial voice overs sell a service or a product. This program does not include acting skills. Students who are interested in showbiz must decide on a TV and movie voice over and dubbing program. Lip-synching is needed by such courses, hence, the voice over talent also needs to master acting skills.

White Tattoos – A Unique Touch

Tattoos are something that makes you stand out. However, if you want to go for something that is even more unique than the regular black and gray, as well as colored tattoos, white tattoo is just the thing for you. White tattoos are of two types – the one made from simple white ink and the other created from black light tattoo ink.

The black light tattoo ink has come to become a part of the tattoo supplies of the modern tattoo artist very recently – say about three decades back. The black light tattoo ink is sometimes believed to have harmful effect on the human body – it is believed to be radioactive. However, whether the black light tattoo ink is safe or unsafe for use has to be conclusively determined as yet.

White tattoo with white ink

The white tattoo with white ink is made simply with the help of white ink and is slightly visible under sunlight. These tattoos can be extremely beautiful in a very delicate way. If you want to go for a completely white tattoo, a delicate dove on your inner wrist can look extremely beautiful.

You can achieve a number of styles with the help of white ink tattoos. Now let us look at the white tattoo ink. Some of the white tattoo inks are sold opaque, to be used alone, while others are mixed with colored inks to get a different shade.

Many artists mainly like to use white tattoos for small areas, to highlight a design and to give it character. For instance, the eye can be highlighted with the white ink, or the edges of a red rose can be made to look more realistic when white ink is used. These are used as reflection points in tattoos of elements that are meant to be reflective.

Unfortunately, most white tattoos fade out after a year or a bit more, especially if it is exposed to the sunlight a lot. However, there are some brands that create great colors that last. Some of the popular tattoo ink manufacturers are moms tattoo ink and Intenze tattoo ink.

Intenze tattoo ink has a great opaque quality that hold up great, for a pretty long time. The white Intenze tattoo ink is different because it uses a finely ground acrylic polymer. This is something that is used in car and house paints. Though there are some adverse discussions regarding the effect of this tattoo on the skin, there have not been many complaints regarding this issue from people who have used white Intenze tattoo ink in their tattoo.

There are a number of types of tattoo inks in the market. The black light tattoo ink is usually a microencapsulated type of ink where all the molecules are encapsulated in very tiny clear, flexible containers like a gel cap pill. Since the ink is encapsulated it does not come into contact with the skin.

Though the black light tattoo ink is usually thin, it should not be used with other tattoo inks as this will take away the UV property of the ink. Like the white ink tattoo, the tattoo made from black light tattoo ink will appear a bright pink for a few days (due to the ski irritation from the tattoo gun). However, once the tattoo heals, the black light tattoo ink will be come invisible and can be seen only under dark light. This kind of tattoo can be fun in rave parties and at the same time, they can be quite personal.

Finally, remember that tattoos are meant to express who you are. So if bold colors and bright tattoos are not your style, white tattoos can be a great idea.
